Angela Brydon 2 March 2020Appointment of District Discipleship Enabler

The District Policy Committee is delighted to announce the appointment of Mrs Angela Brydon as the District Discipleship Enabler with effect from 2 March 2020 (pictured here with the President of Conference, Revd Dr Barbara Glasson and Revd Dr David Chapman on her first morning in post).
Angela is a local preacher in the North Bedfordshire Circuit and a member of Flitwick Methodist Church. She is Captain of Flitwick Boys Brigade and Girls Association as well as actively involved in Messy Church.
She writes:
‘Over the past year I have worked in the North Bedfordshire Circuit as Outreach Development Enabler. This involved pulling together a picture of what the Circuit was currently doing and drawing up a Circuit Development plan. I worked with several local churches as they drew up their own mission action plans and from that process a number of new outreach projects have emerged.
In my new role I am very much looking forward to learning about the other circuits in the district. I love to listen to people talk honestly about their churches, their hopes and their fears. I often find myself able to encourage churches by sharing stories from elsewhere in the connexion.’
Angela has worked closely with the circuit staff and leadership team of the North Bedfordshire circuit. Revd Andrew Hollins, superintendent minister, says:
'Angela has been an asset to the circuit in her role over the past year. She has encouraged and stimulated fresh thinking and new initiatives in several churches, whilst also moving the circuit forward with its Mission Development and Mission Action Plans.'
Angela can be contacted by email.
